My outlook was acting funny, resending…
Looks like it’s going to be on 24th and at my place! I won’t have the backyard ready so no grill so no BBQ at my place. we’ll order some takeout from nearby Chinese restaurant, so don’t bring too much food! But bring whatever you like and share of course.
A little recap if you didn’t attend last month’s poker night…
It turns out Kevin, yes that’s me, is Korean! I bet you never knew that! Neither did I…
It turns out Marty is also Kevin, according to Danny. I asked Danny not to insult me like that, so he stopped calling Marty Kevin.
We found out Fanny is really good at singing! Actually she’s good at pretty much everything! Unlike not-funny.
We did a little nerf-gun fight, adults vs kids. In the beginning it’s just the kids vs me, then I forcefully kidnapped their gun and started shooting back. Did you know that, little Danny and Josh, sent Miquel to come after me, and I’d play with Miquel and try to scare him by running after him with the gun, when I reach the stairs, Josh and little Danny unleashed all their fire power on me! ZOMG!! They are so little and are already using tactics and bait and traps.
We then moved out to the backyard to play some basketball/football. All the kids were playing on the grass, then all of a sudden the sprinklers went on! All the kids were screaming and scattered and ran out of the grass area except for Michelle. Likeng ran to the side of the grass and called her to come out but wouldn’t go in to grab her! ZOMG!! The mom finally grabbed her and got out to safety.
We started drinking early, for Danny’s birthday. We took 1 round of shots, and another round, and some more after that. Marty and I decided to drink with Danny individually so we can get Danny to drink more. Unfortunately Janet found out and stopped us after Danny and I took the first shot. Then I realized I was played! Danny didn’t get to drink a second shot, and Marty escaped the shot! ZOMG!!
During our poker game, we took a break to drink more tequila. We were at the kitchen, drank 1 shot, and I coerced Danny to drink a second shot. We got back to the table and I whispered this to Marty, and somehow, Janet heard me! ZOMG!! She’s got those mom instinct that just knows when others are up to no good. I was WHISPERING and she HEARD ME! I still can’t believe it. so I kinda got Danny in trouble and he couldn’t drink anymore for that night.
After a few drinks we started guessing Janet’s poker hand after the initial bet pre flop. At one hand, Janet bet 15 and Marty shouted, “pair of kings” right away. The flop came out and there was 1 Ace. We started saying only the person with an Ace would stay and play, because that will beat Janet’s hand. Amy then bet $25, and we were so sure she had an Ace. Janet then folded her pair of Kings and it turns out Amy only had a pair of 2’s! ZOMG!! Janet was turning red and shooting fire at us with her eyes.
The whole night everyone played well and conservatively. I was the only person that bought in a second time, and at the end I won the most, which was only $16. I got lucky because Likeng had to leave so we went all in and I won all his money. Haha.
Oh shoot, I forgot to remove Tina from this email, because she wasn’t feeling well so I told her Poker Night was cancelled. Now she knows I lied! ZOMG!!
