the early days of poker nite.
So I’ve created this mailing list for our poker night gatherings. Sorry Patrick, I didn’t use your suggestion of poking... stuff…
Let’s have a little schedule thing going so it’ll be easier for ppl to sign up. Below is a list of months, if you can host the poker night please fill in your name. whoever’s hosting can decide which day of the month they want to have the poker night. Please fill in what you can, or we’ll just have to invite ourselves to Janet’s place every month. You can also decide if you want to BBQ, or potluck, or everyone for themselves, etc. I picked April and December just to start things off, if you like those months I can swap with you.

Big thanks to Kathy for volunteering her place for us to trash, I mean, play poker. Thanks to Patrick and Marty for volunteering as well, we’ll reserve your places for future nights.
I’ve changed the time to 4:30pm, please don’t show up at 2pm. let’s show up between 4:30pm-5pm, eat from 5-6:15pm (by “eat” I really meant get drunk), trash talk a bit, and start our poker games at 6:30pm.
Please bring your own food, or I can bring extras for you but let me know. anyway, please accept or decline if you haven’t, so I can get an accurate headcount so Kathy knows what she’s getting into.......

Due to the nature of our trash talk content, thanks to Patrick, we have to move to a more private emailing environment.
After getting a few complaints from IT, and HR, and QC upper management, we have to move our emails to our private emails.
This is good in several ways:
1) Patrick can say whatever he wants and won’t get in trouble
2) The managers on this list won’t be obligated do anything when Patrick says whatever he wants
3) Patrick can keep saying whatever he wants
4) We can laugh at (I mean, with) Patrick for whatever he says
5) The managers on this list won’t get in trouble when they see what Patrick says and not report it
6) I can go on and on about whatever Patrick wants to say….
7) You get the idea.
Ok, so, please GIVE ME your private email, if you don’t have one, you can create them at @yahoo.com, @hotmail.com, @gmail.com, @hellokitty.com, whatever you’d like. Just send me your private email, and I’ll send out a new list from my private email with everyone on it.
This is to protect ourselves from being able to trash talk freely and to protect the managers from being obligated to report whatever Patrick has to say. Anyway, send me your private emails. I won’t sell them to marketing companies, really, you can trust me.
Regards,
Kevin
P.S. the above email is all true, except for the complaints part.

poker nite # 5 error report

So yeah, same thing I guess, bring your own food/drinks, I think Patrick will cook some really nice food for us as well, right Patricia?

Thank you for coming to my place last Saturday. We had great time. Hopefully you have enough to eat and drink. I was still drunk yesterday because Kevin’s encouraging shots. I guess Marty T. and Kevin could blame their loss to the shots.

YOYOYO!
Thanks to Patrick for volunteering his place for us to trash and play poker on the 18th of April. He can scream all he wants at his own place…

Hello!
It is time for our monthly poker night, #7, at Marty’s place! thanks to Marty for volunteering his place for us to get drunk and play poker.
It’s good to know Janet will go this time, so we can have our chance of getting some of our money back, hopefully not give more to her! We’ll let Danny play instead of Janet, I think that’ll fix the problem… just feed Danny and Marty a lot of beer! And Likeng too!
A little recap from last month’s poker night, thanks to Patrick and his 3 course meal (was delicious!!), Patrick almost lit his place on fire while making dessert (we had the fire extinguisher out of the box and ready to go), Kevin couldn’t bluff Brett out (good call on that hand, Brett), Marty bluffed out Fanny (that was awesome), all the ladies got trips (including Patrick), we had side pots guessing Brett’s hand (and we were all wrong), Kevin and Likeng got so very drunk (more alcohol plzzzz), Patrick peed on his hands (so we told him to sit down next time), Likeng took all of Tina’s money (but Kevin took them back from Likeng), and lastly, Amy was the big winner!! Let’s have lots of fun on 5/16! Remember to take your 15 min break if you play more than 4 hrs straight. Meal period can be waived since we’re playing for 6 hrs or less with a meal period waiver form filled out and have your manager approve it.

poker nite No 7 error report
A little recap from last month, um…. Yeah I didn’t drink much so I really don’t remember much.
I remembered Not-Funny won against Sarah when he didn’t know he won,
I remembered Likeng did his usual thing of going all-in at 10:55pm,
I remembered there were at least 3 people going all-in each hand for the first 5 hands,
I remembered the Mexican restaurant was good and Brett refused to “my-dan”,
I remembered every 30 minutes or so, the kids (little Danny, Michael and Josh) would come to the table and ask the bigger kids (Marty and Marty) to play video games with them,
I remembered Paul won, finally, so we don’t have to feel bad if we take his money again next time, (btw what’s your Chinese name, Kathy?)
I remembered Brett was only going to be there for 10 minutes, or 1 hr,
I remembered Marty Williams actually showed up to the poker night! with really nice poker cards (can you bring them for this poker night? My cards are old and worn)
Anyway, we’re going to Marty T. apt this time, and we’ll bring my poker table on his truck so we’ll be able to fit more ppl. There were discussions on splitting into 2 tables but we’ll see how many ppl show up first, just in case ppl pull a marty (say he’ll go but not show up).
Notice we’re meeting earlier this time, that’s for playing video games, we’re going to play rockband, and that shooting fox game if the kids show up early (so they can get their revenge), then we’ll eat, and start our poker night at 7pm. if you don’t want to play video games you can either show up for dinner or just for poker, don’t matter, just let me know so we can prepare ahead of time.
Thank you for reading, hopefully we’ll see everyone there!

P.S. Please do not park in any of the fire zones. They are brilliantly painted in red for your convenience.
poker nite numero ocho error report
It’s time for poker night #9!
So, I think I’ve ask everyone if they are allergic to dogs or cats, and the general answer I get is, “no I’m not allergic, but I am scared”. Well, there’s no reason to be scared. As you can see from my facebook, my dog is SUPER friendly. He’ll wag his tail, sniff your butt, lick your hands, that’s about it. my cat is the vicious one, she jumps on your lap when you are sitting down playing poker, and purrrrrs. Super cute, so no worries. Anyway, if you are allergic to dogs and/or cats, please let me know so I can make other arrangements, such as moving poker night to another person’s place, or sell my dog and cat before the 18th. If I can’t sell my dog/cat, we’ll have BBQ for dinner. j/k!
Ok, I’ll need to write up another recap because a couple of people decided not to show up, I mean, not even for an hour! I won’t name any names, but I mean, he who should not be named broke his wrist so he can have an excuse to not show up! can you believe that!?! Anyway, hope you all can show up so I don’t have to write a long arse recap every month.
We arrived at Marty T’s place at 3:30pm, and started playing rock band. We didn’t drink yet, so not many ppl sang, so we went on to other games. Wii Olympics was tiring, PS3 motorcycle was cool because we were trying to figure out new ways to kill the rider with big boobs, then we played pacman. Pacman was fun, the idea is good, but there was no challenge. I played against Amy, Josh, and Marty W. I kept on winning. So I decided to play with my eyes closed, and I still won. Then I started playing rock band on one hand and pacman on the other, and they still couldn’t beat me. BORING!
People started arriving around 5-6pm, played some more video games, Marty T. prepared some Pilipino chicken BBQ, that was good, Marty W. gave us 1 oz coke with 32 oz rum, that was good too, but made ppl dizzy. At 7:30pm we started playing poker. Thanks to Danny we had lots of patron shots, before and after and during the poker games. Janet couldn’t tell between a spade and a club, I don’t remember her drinking?? Fanny thought it was funny to knock over beer on the new poker table and she did. Likeng, being a very competitive standing farmer, decided to play the game of spilling beer, so he knocked one over Amy. Then our great Standing Farmer decides that wasn’t enough, he throws the beer on the floor and watched us clean Marty’s floor. Likeng quickly got bored of spilling beer, he decided to play poker for real. He beat Fanny with a full house, Fanny didn’t think that was funny. A couple of hands later, our great standing farmer decided to go all in with a nine high, Fanny took a while to respond. She even went to the bathroom to consult with mother nature. After a few minutes while we were wondering where Fanny went, she came out of the restroom and decided to fold. As soon as Likeng flipped over the 9 high, Fanny was shooting invisible flames out of her eyes on our standing farmer’s head. That was definitely not funny. Likeng decided not to take Fanny’s money anymore, so he cleaned out Marty W. Since Marty W. can’t win at the adults table, he left us and went to play with the kids. Rumor has it, Marty was losing to the kids at video games. No one lived to tell the true story.
At midnight we decided to stop playing poker and go home. But we went and got stuck at the video games -- rock band. At that time we all had a few drinks, by a few drinks I mean, “many bottles of BEER, plus a bottle of PATRON, plus a half bottle of VSOP, plus a half bottle of RUM”. Everyone was singing like they were a real rock star. Patrick, or shall I say, Not-Fanny, was terrible at the drums. Oh, that was not all, he was terrible at guitar too! I left with Likeng at 1:30am, because Tina didn’t show. She had morning sickness (oh, good news btw, Tina’s 14 weeks pregnant)
Wait wait that’s not all. how can we end the poker night without hitting Michelle with something hard? So I decided to make a perfect ending for the night, I picked up my poker set, and hit Michelle on the head. Ok ok I didn’t do it on purpose, I’m sorry, I couldn’t even stand up straight! My apologies goes to Likeng’s family, and Likeng’s future in-laws, the Tisnado family.
As you can see, we have so much fun at poker night, so please accept the invite and come join us!
