It’s time for poker night #9!
So, I think I’ve ask everyone if they are allergic to dogs or cats, and the general answer I get is, “no I’m not allergic, but I am scared”. Well, there’s no reason to be scared. As you can see from my facebook, my dog is SUPER friendly. He’ll wag his tail, sniff your butt, lick your hands, that’s about it. my cat is the vicious one, she jumps on your lap when you are sitting down playing poker, and purrrrrs. Super cute, so no worries. Anyway, if you are allergic to dogs and/or cats, please let me know so I can make other arrangements, such as moving poker night to another person’s place, or sell my dog and cat before the 18th. If I can’t sell my dog/cat, we’ll have BBQ for dinner. j/k!
Ok, I’ll need to write up another recap because a couple of people decided not to show up, I mean, not even for an hour! I won’t name any names, but I mean, he who should not be named broke his wrist so he can have an excuse to not show up! can you believe that!?! Anyway, hope you all can show up so I don’t have to write a long arse recap every month.
We arrived at Marty T’s place at 3:30pm, and started playing rock band. We didn’t drink yet, so not many ppl sang, so we went on to other games. Wii Olympics was tiring, PS3 motorcycle was cool because we were trying to figure out new ways to kill the rider with big boobs, then we played pacman. Pacman was fun, the idea is good, but there was no challenge. I played against Amy, Josh, and Marty W. I kept on winning. So I decided to play with my eyes closed, and I still won. Then I started playing rock band on one hand and pacman on the other, and they still couldn’t beat me. BORING!
People started arriving around 5-6pm, played some more video games, Marty T. prepared some Pilipino chicken BBQ, that was good, Marty W. gave us 1 oz coke with 32 oz rum, that was good too, but made ppl dizzy. At 7:30pm we started playing poker. Thanks to Danny we had lots of patron shots, before and after and during the poker games. Janet couldn’t tell between a spade and a club, I don’t remember her drinking?? Fanny thought it was funny to knock over beer on the new poker table and she did. Likeng, being a very competitive standing farmer, decided to play the game of spilling beer, so he knocked one over Amy. Then our great Standing Farmer decides that wasn’t enough, he throws the beer on the floor and watched us clean Marty’s floor. Likeng quickly got bored of spilling beer, he decided to play poker for real. He beat Fanny with a full house, Fanny didn’t think that was funny. A couple of hands later, our great standing farmer decided to go all in with a nine high, Fanny took a while to respond. She even went to the bathroom to consult with mother nature. After a few minutes while we were wondering where Fanny went, she came out of the restroom and decided to fold. As soon as Likeng flipped over the 9 high, Fanny was shooting invisible flames out of her eyes on our standing farmer’s head. That was definitely not funny. Likeng decided not to take Fanny’s money anymore, so he cleaned out Marty W. Since Marty W. can’t win at the adults table, he left us and went to play with the kids. Rumor has it, Marty was losing to the kids at video games. No one lived to tell the true story.
At midnight we decided to stop playing poker and go home. But we went and got stuck at the video games -- rock band. At that time we all had a few drinks, by a few drinks I mean, “many bottles of BEER, plus a bottle of PATRON, plus a half bottle of VSOP, plus a half bottle of RUM”. Everyone was singing like they were a real rock star. Patrick, or shall I say, Not-Fanny, was terrible at the drums. Oh, that was not all, he was terrible at guitar too! I left with Likeng at 1:30am, because Tina didn’t show. She had morning sickness (oh, good news btw, Tina’s 14 weeks pregnant)
Wait wait that’s not all. how can we end the poker night without hitting Michelle with something hard? So I decided to make a perfect ending for the night, I picked up my poker set, and hit Michelle on the head. Ok ok I didn’t do it on purpose, I’m sorry, I couldn’t even stand up straight! My apologies goes to Likeng’s family, and Likeng’s future in-laws, the Tisnado family.
As you can see, we have so much fun at poker night, so please accept the invite and come join us!
